The Trip Down

We currently live in Luxembourg and are looking at houses in the Bergerac, the Dordogne area of France. That’s approximately 10-11 hours of driving and a distance of 930Km, 580 miles for Brits and Yanks. We definitely are going by car this trip as we need to drive all over and remain flexible. Luckily we will not be rushed, we can leave work a little early Wednesday and will stay over night in the beautiful little town of Beaune, just south of Dijon. If you have not been to Beaune I recommend it for 1 or 2 days. It is a beautiful old centre with one of the most interesting and beautiful buildings from the Middle Ages that I have ever visited. L’Hotel Dieu. Below are some photos from when we last stayed in Beaune in 2023. That time it was a stop on our way to Carcassonne, about 2 hours further south than our destination this time.
